Community Guidelines
Last Updated:17 Sep, 2025
These Content and Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") govern your use of the mobile application and its various versions ("App"), collectively referred to as the "Platform," including its features and functionality. The Platform is made available by Real Frnd ("Your Company", "we", "us", and "our"), a private company established under the laws of India, with its registered office located at Noida, India. The terms "you" and "your" refer to the user/host of the Platform.
These Guidelines are a crucial part of and should be read in conjunction with the Platform's Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. The capitalised words used in these guidelines will have the meanings provided to those words in the Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Guidelines from time to time. The updated version of these Guidelines is available here, and the platform policies are available here. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Guidelines.
Our Platform connects people from across India. The community we've created is diverse and receptive to a variety of content. However, the Platform is accessed by a wide range of audiences, including young adults, but always over 18 years of age. To ensure that all our users follow standard practices and foster a safe environment for you to creatively express yourselves, we have implemented strict guidelines and restrictions governing the use of the Platform.
Content Guidelines
We actively remove content that is prohibited on our Platform and violates both our Guidelines and applicable Indian laws. If such content comes to our attention, we may take it down or restrict access to user accounts. If you come across any content that violates these Guidelines, we strongly encourage you to report it. We understand the importance of creative freedom, but we do not welcome content that is intended to cause discomfort, spread what may be considered hate speech and abuse, promote violence and illegal activities, or is deceptive and/or impedes the creator or artist ecosystem on the Platform. We, or the “Admin,” also ensure that the host’s content or profile does not breach the guidelines and complies with established procedures.

- Re-sharing: If you want to share content from within the Platform, do not remove any attributions, watermarks, or original captions that show the genuine source. Also, make sure to get the necessary permissions and give proper credit to fellow users or any other organization or individual who owns the rights by mentioning their name and/or the original source.
- Audio/Music: Please avoid using any audio or music that violates these Guidelines or any other platform policies. We reserve the right to disable the audio, remove the content, or restrict its sharing or access if the use breaches these Guidelines or applicable laws. We are not responsible for any loss or harm you may experience due to such actions.
- Fair Use: You might be able to use someone else’s copyrighted work in specific situations where such use qualifies as 'fair use’ under applicable laws. For instance, using it for criticism, commentary, parody, satire, or teaching could be considered fair use. To learn more, visit official copyright resources. If you believe someone is in imminent danger, contact your local law enforcement authorities and report the situation as soon as possible.

Content that promotes violence, encourages violent behavior, or fosters hostility against any individual or group, such as through intimidation, targeting, demeaning, or causing harm, is prohibited. Any content that spreads hatred or seeks to generate or disseminate hate propaganda based on factors like religion, caste, ethnicity, community, nationality, disability (physical or mental), disease, or gender is also forbidden.

Additionally, content that identifies, tags, derogates, or mocks victims and survivors of psychological or physical abuse, maltreatment, self-injury, domestic violence, or any other form of violence is prohibited.
We allow content that aims to offer support, help, and relief to those facing serious issues. We also permit users to share their experiences, which may provide valuable coping strategies for those in need, as long as the purpose of posting aligns with our guidelines.

- Do not use our Platform to solicit or facilitate any transaction or gifts involving such goods and services that are declared illegal by the Government of India.
- Impersonating another individual (such as your family, friends, well-known personalities, brand, or any other individuals/organizations) and distributing false or misleading information on our Platform for personal or financial gain will be considered fraud. Content that contains computer or software viruses, malware, or any other computer code, file, or program designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource cannot be uploaded on the Platform.
Please note that the above is not an exhaustive list of restricted illegal activities, and there may be other activities that violate these Guidelines and the Terms.
i. Non-Consensual (Personal) Content
Content that impersonates another individual is prohibited. Posting or misusing personal content or data, or information of another individual, including pictures or videos of other people who have not given express consent to such content being posted, is prohibited. Do not post anyone’s personal or intimate photos or videos with or without their permission or consent. Do not post content that is invasive of anyone’s privacy. Content that belongs to another individual and to which the user does not have any right is prohibited on the Platform.
Revealing someone’s personal data or sensitive personal information as defined under applicable laws, including but not limited to contact information, passwords, address, financial information, sexual orientation, biometric information, government identification documents such as Aadhaar details, passport information, healthcare information, or threatening someone to reveal or use such information, will be considered harassment, and such activities are strictly prohibited.
j. Spam
Content that misleads users regarding its origin, exhibits or promotes false advertisements, fraudulent or deceptive representations, and compromises security constitutes spam and is expressly prohibited. When such content is posted for commercial purposes, it is classified as commercial spam. Spam disrupts the seamless operation of the platform and discourages other users from engaging in sharing and connecting activities.
- It is crucial that the content you share is genuine and promotes a safe, trustworthy environment for people to post on the Platform.
- Posting the same content repeatedly to annoy viewers or to promote goods/services as spam, whether commercial or not, is prohibited.
- Avoid using fake and manipulative tactics to generate traffic.
- Please refrain from posting any misleading or deceptive links, including content that contains a link promising one type of content but ultimately delivering something significantly different.
- Do not post content that links to malicious material, like malware, aimed at compromising someone else's privacy, such as through a phishing attack.
k. Misinformation
We aim to combat the spread of misinformation on our Platform.
- Content that is misleading or intentionally spreads misinformation, disinformation, or clearly false and untrue information is prohibited. Additionally, hoaxes or fake propaganda designed to deceive users or the public are not allowed.
- We also prohibit displaying content that exaggerates existing news by adding false elements.
- We do not permit content on the Platform that misleads users, attempts to create ways to spread false information, or is defamatory, libelous, or seeks to harm someone’s reputation or negatively impact their financial or political standing based on false information.
- Manipulated media refers to synthetic or fake content that looks real and may show people saying or doing things they never actually said or did, created using artificial intelligence techniques or other methods.
- However, we permit satire and parody content on the platform, as long as it does not mislead other users and is not meant to spread false information.
